Linkedator is a LinkedIn automation tool that rapidly expands professional networks, allowing individuals to effortlessly establish valuable connections in less time than manual methods. It was a project-based job that I took on to gain more experience in designing web applications, since all of my previous commercial experiences had been focused on mobile interfaces.
The team consisted of a founder, a back-end developer, a front-end developer, a designer, and a copywriter.
The project was intended to be completed with minimal effort, as its viability needed to be validated before creating a complex platform. So, we made a deal to build just an MVP.
The focus was on creating a simple interface with many reusable components that could be developed quickly.
Additionally, we needed to ensure the retention of attracted users. To achieve this goal, the application needed to be intuitive and easy to understand in terms of launching automation tasks and managing accounts.
I began by creating wireframes based on the information I received from the founder to confirm that we were on the same page and that all technical aspects were accounted for. I sketched the main screens of the app in search of optimal UX solutions.
After validating the concept of the main pages, I proceeded to work on the entire flow and create a visual design.
To display the Account and Task data, I decided to use the same table component and base page structure to speed up development.
After developing the Accounts and Tasks pages, we evaluated that we had some extra time to improve them. While the cloud infrastructure was being maintained, we added the Statistics section to the Accounts page and the Statuses section to the Tasks page, which allows tasks to be filtered by their statuses.
Then, we developed a Profile page, which was originally intended to include an Edit profile data feature, the current plan with a button leading to the Plan section where users could change it, and Boosts.
Due to the extra time we had, we added small statistics about Plan usage and a Payment history block.
The onboarding process is crucial for any product, especially for one that lacks name recognition and advertising resources. Our goal was to attract users and convince them to use our product with the smoothest possible flow that would impress them.
To achieve this, I defined the steps of the onboarding process, which should begin right after sign-up and end when the user completes their first launched task and receives real value from the product. Our approach involved demonstrating benefits to users alongside the main functions of the app.
I developed an onboarding process divided into 4 stages:
The most challenging step was explaining the various task types since it required more than a laconic approach, and showing the task on the interface didn't provide helpful information. To solve this, I decided to demonstrate which manual actions on the LinkedIn page are automated by each task type.

Additionally, I created the design for the landing page and promotional emails.
Working solo on this project was an invaluable experience, as it provided me with a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities. It served as a springboard for my biggest project to date, and despite working only several hours per week, I delivered even more than a fully workable solution.
However, I acknowledge that there is room for improvement. The navigation could be more intuitive, and it would be helpful to have a page that aggregates all tasks. Additionally, I believe that the initial task creation process could be improved since customers may experience confusion while adding people based on the criteria. Adding some tips and examples instead of a cold start would be beneficial.
After deploying the final version, the product was not supported or improved, as it was a project-based job. I am aware that some legal aspects needed to be addressed, and the project closed soon after completion.
The biggest outcome of this project is the experience gained, which has helped me further hone my skills and abilities.
